You Wanted to Sleep Too?

If there is one thing that I could tell any parent to invest in this morning, it would be a bigger bed, I'm talking, Super King...especially if you have a child who is old enough to get out of his own bed and climb into yours. I don't think The Husband and I realized how big The Boy has truly gotten over the last six months. Our little queen sized bed is just not big enough for all the body mass we put into it at around 1:30 AM today.

This was our dilemma. The Boy sleeps in between us adults when he comes into our bed. This is to ensure that he doesn't fall out of the bed. Last night we had a difference in temperature preference. The Boy was hot, we were cold. Every time he would kick off the blanket, we would have to battle him to put it back on again. I don't know how many times The Husband "threatened" to take him back to his own bed (it never happened), but The Boy in his sleep stupor didn't seem to care. It was his way or the couch for us. Somewhere in the middle of the night, I also had to forgo Barney, the pregnancy pillow. It was a tiresome night to say the least.

Finally, about 5 AM, The Husband gets the bright idea to move The Boy to his side of the bed putting The Husband in the middle of the bed. This left me with no space. How did the pregnant wife get the short end of the bed??? To top it all off, the Boy slept until 8 AM. We had to really work hard to wake him up, making us all late this morning. Damn Daylight Savings.

What is that called?

The Boy had some trouble falling asleep last night. He told his daddy it was because his "thumbtoe" hurt. For those that don't know, a thumbtoe is apparantly your big toe...add it to your list of preschool words. It might come in handy one day.
